Gossip Girl star, Blake Lively is looking gorgeous in this month's issue of Glamour
Magazine. And for those of you who haven't gotten the issue yet, I suggest you sprint
to your local news stand to pick up a copy. Here's a few of the photographs from her

What better way to show off your summer style than through your nail polish?
I love the endless assortment of nail polish hues available and you'll never catch me
without a pop of color on my fingers. Nail polish is a fun way to show off your mood
and not to mention compliments any outfit. Trending for this season are bright pinks

Let Me See Your: Geometric Prints

Summer is in full swing and there has never been a better time to experiment with
some patterns and fabric that you maybe have not tried in the past. Right now, I find
myself falling for geometric prints! The shorts showcased in the photos from my daily
outfit are one of my favorite buys for this summer. They're fun, different, and playful.
Pairing patterns with your outfit always makes it a little more interesting.

Fashion Feature: Bethenny Frankel

Today was a very exciting day! I headed to work as usual and guess who I spot
within 5 minutes of coming to work.. Bethenny Frankel's husband Jason! Eeeek!
For those of you who don't know, Bethenny Frankel is a former Real Housewife of
New York, creator of Skinny Girl Margarita, natural food chef, New York Times
Best Seller, and now star of her own spin off show on Bravo, Bethanny Ever After.
She is one of the few reality television stars who is more about real life and less
about drama. She is absolutely hilarious and completely fabulous! Therefore, I've
decided to share with you some of my favorite fashions that Bethanny has seen

Sunday night my sister and I were lucky enough to get tickets for the reunion concert of
New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys, forming mega boy band NKOTBSB. For any
girl growing up in the 80's and 90's these boys were the best thing since sliced bread and
the concert was one non-stop dance party. This was the perfect time for a cool concert
look, my version of mixing prints, and my very first daily outfit post!

Designers have introduced their 2012 Resort Collections and I find it amazing how
you can fall more and more in love with clothes every season they hit the runway.
Currently trending for resort wear this season is: brights, mixed prints, and of course,
nautical. Here are a few of my favorites from each trend.

Allow Me to Re-Introduce Myself

So here's the scoop..

I'm Mara. I'm 20 years old and a junior in college, majoring in Fashion Studies. Ever
since I was a little girl there was something about clothing and the art of dressing
that caught my attention. I love the fact that fashion is all about self expression.
Fashion can tell someone how you are feeling without even saying one word to them.
Fashion has no rules and is ever evolving. It is something that has always been present,
and will continue on to the future. And that's why I truly love it.

I currently work in retail, at a golf pro shop, I know, not coolest work place for a
glamazon like myself. But I've been working there for about 5 years, and I feel that I
am pretty lucky to have the retail experience that I've been provided with over the
years. Anything from styling manequins, creating displays, sales and events, and even
assisting in the buying has been in my job description. I must say, golf is not where my
heart is, and I plan on moving on from conversations of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickleson,
to the more important men, like Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs.

So, where to begin..

How exciting! My first blog ever. Getting started is always the hardest part, but after
deciding I needed an inexpensive summer adventure, I decided to start my very own
blog to share my views and opinions on fashion with my friends, family, and the
Internet universe. I can't wait to share my love for fashion with the rest of the world.
